ABSTRACT

Background: In CKD, there is a disturbance in the kidney's ability to maintain fluid homeostasis. The kidneys cannot reabsorb water and sodium effectively, or conversely are unable to excrete it when in excess. This makes the patient very susceptible to fluid volume disorders, including hypovolemia. Research Objective: To describe nursing care for Chronic Kidney Disease patients with hypervolemia problems at Andi Makkasau Parepare Regional General Hospital. Research Method: used in this case study is a descriptive method with case presentation. Research subjects: two respondents, namely Mrs. I and Mrs. R. The Results Of The Study were that after nursing care for 3x24 hours, the results were obtained in Mrs. I, namely subjective data, The patient said that the shortness of breath had decreased, The patient said that she did not feel nauseous and vomited, The patient said that she no longer had abdominal pain, The patient was no longer short of breath, The patient was in a semi-fowler position, Frequency 20x/minute, Spo2 97%. and Mrs. R obtained results, subjective data, namely, The patient said that she was no longer short of breath, The patient's family said that the patient rarely urinated, The respiratory rate was 20x/minute, Both legs still looked edematous Both hands still looked edematous. Conclusion: by providing hypervolemia management, hypervolemia in Chronic Kidney Disease patients can be overcome slowly. Nursing Evaluation of patient 1 (Mrs. I) and patient 2 (Mrs. R) found the following evaluation results: Edema decreased (5), Fluid intake increased (5), Body weight improved (5) Suggestion: It is recommended for further researchers to apply hypervolemia management to maximize the results to be achieved in overcoming hypervolemia in Chronic Kidney Disease patients
